
Stefanie & Brian Tong
Stefanie is the founder and director of CORE Revelation. Together with her husband, Brian, their goal is to reach out and share the good news of the gospel through the platform of Hip Hop dance and music. While Stefanie teaches and performs dance, Brian serves the ministry through photography and graphic design. Stefanie has trained extensively in Hip Hop and Funk Styles throughout the Lower Mainland, Edmonton, Los Angeles and at numerous conventions. Locally, she has choreographed for dance studios, high school teams, modeling agencies, fashion shows and charity events. Some of her selected credits include representing Canada in Macau, China as part of Transcendance Dance Company at the Ninth International Youth Dance Festival, MTV Select, Global TV Edmonton, 1999 Grey Cup Half Time Show & The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Closing Ceremony. Stefanie’s passion is to share her gift of dance with the community whenever and wherever an opportunity presents itself.
Liz Vaesen
Liz is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and adjudicator with over 15 years of experience. Inspired solely by the beats and sound of Hip Hop music, Liz acquired her skills & knowledge straight from the street, later training in L.A., Las Vegas, Calgary and Seattle. Her training comes from Hip Hop OG’s including Popin’ Pete, Greg Campbellock Jr., Jr. Boogaloo and “LockN’ Key” from the Groovaloos. Liz remains true to the original funk styles, locking, popping and old school hip hop and is well respected in the hip hop community for her experience and love for Hip Hop culture and it’s history.
Jessica Lui
Jessica is passionate about human body movement whether it be through daily physical activity, sport, exercise, or dance. Among the many sports she enjoys, playing volleyball and running is what she does most. Her love for dance has grown since 2001 when she started to train and compete in ballroom dance with the UBC Dance Club. Since then she has trained in Vancouver in styles such as salsa, ballet, lyrical jazz, modern, and hip hop. Her studies in music started with the piano where she completed her Royal Conservatory Grade 10. It continued with the guzheng, the Chinese harp, where she also completed the Central Conservatory Grade 10. She continues to study and frequently performs the guzheng. Currently Jessica is teaching the dance and Spanish programs at a local high school.
